Makeup For Black Women



The classic smokey eye never goes out of style and suits everyone. With a black eyeliner pencil, color your eyelid leaving a gap at the center, as seen in the image. I've picked up a smaller, round eyeshadow brush for this shade, because I don't want this color in as much area as the previous colors. Follow this up with a lighter color and apply it all over the eyelid, ending right beneath the crease.

Brighten the eye by applying the lighter shell eyeshadow all over the eyelid. What is great about this look is that you can amplify it by contouring with the proper eyeliner shades to give depth and create a more intense look for the evening. A few coats of mascara, either black or dark brown, perfectly finish off the look.

Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara. Then, add a white color on the inner corner of your eye. Apply a warmer brown color to the outer V (Cognac from ABH). Line your upper lashline with a black liquid eyeliner. Curl your eyelashes and swipe some mascara on to complete the look.

Using a flat brush, smoothen the lines out evenly and blend the color from the center of your eye towards the outer corners. Now, I'm going to move onto the shade called Buns, and with this color I am going to blend it into my crease as well, over the other colors.

Look at the subtle tones in your eyes that you want to bring out and choose shades similar to those. If you're unsure which color to use, look for an eye shadow set that includes three or four complementary colors. Tightline the inside rims of your eyes to add extra darkness.

Define your lower lashline with an angular brush using both green and black eyeshadow. Line your lower waterline and lashline with a black eyeliner pencil. Use your liquid eyeliner to line your upper lashline along the traced area for more precision. Line your lower waterline using a black eyeliner pencil.

Blend the color out properly with a brush. Now use a brown eyebrow pencil to draw a line that traces the crease of your eye (you'll feel it as the point right on the eyeball). Next, pat on a light shade of gold, covering the entire eyelid but stopping right underneath the crease.

Create a subtle wing on just the outer corner of your upper lashline.
