How To Do Makeup On Woc

The classic smokey eye never goes out of style and suits everyone. Also, use this to define the outer corners of your lower lashline. Again, blend the dark color into the light gold and pink. The darkest part should always be the point at the upper edge of your lash line. Any brown-eyed ladies are unaware of the different ways to use makeup in order to make their eyes pop.

In this step-by-step tutorial, Tina Yong demonstrates how to create the perfect smokey eye using rich brown shades. To add a dramatic look to your classic smoky eye, sweep your dark eyeshadow to a point (more of a <” shape than a C” shape) towards the end of your eyebrow.

Apply the copper eyeshadow on your crease and the rest of the eyelid. You should use a dark brown, a nude and a white eyeshadow and make sure you blend it all well. Fill in your crease with a subtle hint of the soft brown eyeshadow and blend this towards the outer corner of your eye.

Be sure to use a concealer and eyeshadow primer to prep your lids before applying the smoky eye. Doing this will help the colors meld together and will get rid of any harsh lines you may have created when applying the different colors of eyeshadow. Apply a tiny layer of the mixing gel to your middle eyelid with a flat shadow brush.

Then, sweep the brush in soft, broad strokes across your lid at the places where the different shades of eyeshadows meet. It also makes my eyeshadow last longer, and it doesn't smudge as much. Clean your eyeshadow brush with makeup brush cleaner, face wash, or shampoo and water.

Line your upper lashline while holding the pencil as close to the lashline as possible. When you're doing a smokey eye, make sure you use a concealer for your under eye circles to avoid raccoon-eyes. For even more color dimension, lightly dust an orange eyeshadow to the inner corner of your lower lash line and olive green to the top lash line.

Line your upper lashline with a liquid eyeliner. Apply a single coat to your bottom lashes to define them without giving yourself raccoon-eyes. Using a flat brush, apply the peach eyeshadow around the crease of your eyelid, as makeup for WOC seen in the image. Next, apply a light brown shade of eyeshadow to just the outer corner of the eyes.

For more of a cool-toned, brown smokey eye, opt for shades of brown that have a taupe or grey undertone to them. You can use a bold black liquid liner for a dramatic look or, for a softer look, a deep brown pencil is also a great match. Take another very small, soft brush and gently blend the two eyeshadow liner colors together under your lashline.

With a flat brush, use the soft brown eyeshadow to cover up the upper eyelid and the area right under your lower lashline. For a summer wedding, wear a brown smokey eye with a pastel floral dress. For a night out with the girls, a smokey eye with a pop of color will have all eyes on you.

Using a brown eyeshadow, work into the crease of your eye for a harsh contrast. Step 3: Blend a neutral, medium brown eyeshadow with a matte effect in the crease of your eyes (Fawn from ABH). The medium browns allow great variety with makeup, as all the colors mentioned above can be worn without hesitation.

Step 8: When it comes to your lip makeup, you can either leave it subtle using just a dusty rose lip-gloss (Vintage and Undresses lip-glosses from ABH) or create a more intense look by opting for a dark burgundy lipstick with a matte effect (Heathers from ABH).

Natural colors look amazing with every eye color. Apply primer or concealer on your eyelids to prevent fall out and increase the staying power of the shadow. Instead of starting with your medium shade, take your darkest eyeshadow and use your brush to sweep it along the entirety of your upper lash line.
